Pumpkin Trail

As part of my Autumn Bucket List, I wanted our Family to experience Bolton Abbey’s Pumpkin Trail and we were not disappointed.

Door-ways with hidden treasure inside are placed strategically in Strid Wood (part of the Bolton Abbey Estate) and there is an accompanying activity sheet to help the children (& adults) collect the clues.

Just to add to the excitement there are glitter pumpkins in the trees that we took delight in finding, however, the youngest member of our group referred to them as glitter balls, glitter Christmas decorations anything other than pumpkins!

If you are in the West or North Yorkshire area and fancy a delightful couple of hours in the woods, then head on down to Bolton Abbey as the trail is only on until the end of this month.

Please note: the Pumpkin Trail is free but you will need to pay the Estate fee to get in.
